Gunturodu Movie Review – 2.75/5

Cast: Manchu Manoj, Pragya Jaiswal

Director: S.K. Satya

Producer: Sree Varun Atluri

Music Director: DJ Vasanth

Introduction:

After facing repeated flops in the form of Current Theega, Dongaata, and Shourya, Manchu Manoj has come up with action entertainer Gunturodu. Satya helmed this project and Pragya Jaiswal is the leading lady.  Let’s check the content and performance of actors.

Story:

Khanna( Manoj) leads a happy life in the city of Guntur.  One fine day, he happens to fight with criminal advocate Seshu (Sampath) and hits him severely. The situation turns very serious as Seshu targets Khanna’s father Rajendra Prasad.

On the other hand, Khanna falls in love with Amrita (Pragya Jaiswal) who is a sister of Seshu.  Rest is known how middle-class guy faces rich criminal and get married to Amrita.

Performances:

Manchu Manoj fits the bill in Gunturodu. His mass avatar is apt for him. His countenance and timing are superb in emotional and fight sequences. Especially, his confrontation with Sampath is a major highlight of the film.

Sampath is good enough as the baddie. He did an ultimate job and got impressed. His character in the first half is strong. Pragya Jaiswal is cute and did the glamorous role. Kota got a decent role in this movie.

Analysis:

It is a regular story and narration. There is no entertaining part in this film and should have enough romance between the lead pair. Some scenes are very funny and illogical to convince audiences. Scenes between hero-villain are good and when it comes to love, comedy and romance, the director could not do justice. However, Gunturodu is a good action entertainer.

Technicalities:

Satya has taken a good script which has enough stuff to amuse film buffs. But, he should have added required comedy and romance to reach all sections of audiences. The interesting aspect is that DJ Vasanth music is nice and background score is impressive. The camerawork is top notch and he showcased Guntur region very beautiful. Production values are rich.

Final Say:

Gunturodu can entertain action film lovers
