Jayadev Movie Review – 2.5/5

Cast: Ganta Ravi and Malvika Raaj

Director: Jayanth C Paranji

Producer: K.Ashok Kumar

Music: Mani Sharma

Introduction:

Ghanta Ravi made his debut with Jayadev which has been released today. Jayanth C Paranji who delivered blockbuster hits with almost all the top heroes in Tollywood has helmed this project. Let’s check the content and performance of the newbie on the silver screen.

Story:

Jayadev (Ghanta Ravi) is a sincere police officer who has to investigate the gruesome murder case. Finally, he comes to know that liquor don (Vinod Kumar) is the key person who is behind the murder. The remaining story is how he handles the case and puts him behind the bars.

Performances:

Ghanta Ravi is fine but he has a long way to go in terms of body language and acting. He looks good and physique. He aptly fits the bill. Malavika Raj is cute and glamourous. Eye feast for the audience.  Vinod Kumar was seen on big screen after a long time and he is okay.

Analysis:

Jayadev has nothing new to offer for audiences. Telugu audiences have seen such storyline movies hundreds of times in theaters. Audiences have expected something special from Jayadev as Jayanth C Paranji has helmed this project. But, it could offer nothing. A few investigating scenes and fight sequences are good. Villian’s character is very poor. Overall, it is greatly disappointing from the director Jayanth C Paranji.

Technical aspects:

The cinematography is decent as he showcased every scene in an interesting manner. Editing should have been sharp as there are many unnecessary scenes. The direction of Jayanth C Paranji is okay but not up to the mark. Music is mediocre and production values are average.

Final Say:

Director has missed out the chance to introduce a new guy in an impressive manner. Just ignore Jayadev as it offers nothing special.
