I lost Rs 60 crore for banning Viswaroopam: Kamal
Universal actor, Kamal Haasan has suffered severe financial losses as his film Vishwaroopam which was made on global terrorism has been banned. When situation had turned so bad, he threatened to quit the state of Tamil Nadu if the movie was not allowed to release.
When he interacted with media recently, he says, “I don’t want to repeat the fact about Viswaroopam which was banned by then Tamil Nadu Government. I was almost annihilated.”
Kamal said that he lost Rs 60 crore during the ban time and it was a collosal loss. On the other hand, Viswaroopam sequel is lying under cans and will be released soon.
