Cast: Naga Chaitanya, Lavanya Tripathi, Srikanth, Rao Ramesh and others

Direction: Krishna RV Marimuthu

Introduction:

After scoring hits with ‘Premam’ and ‘Raarandoy Veduka Chuddham’, Naga Chaitanya has given a chance for debutant director Krishna Marimuthu. Lavanya Tripati is the female lead and it has hit screens today. Let’s check the content and performance of star cast.

Story:

It is very cinematic age old story. Arjun Naga (Chaitanya) and his parents lead simple and happy life. The real problem starts when Arjun’s parents Rao Ramesh and Revathi witness a murder planned by notorious criminal Nayak (Srikanth). Finally, Nayak kills his parents. How Arjun avenge Nayak is rest of the story.

Performances:

Naga Chaitanya is perfect for the character and did justice. Lavanya has less scope to perform. Rao Ramesh and Revathy have done their roles flawlessly. Murali Sharma is neat.

Analysis:

The movie starts with an interesting note. Within no time, narration comes into a very regular format which cannot hold the attention of audiences. Since audiences have seen hundreds of movies with the same content, nothing has been interesting in Yuddham Sharanam.

But first half moves without boring. When it comes to second half, audiences feel tedious with its regular stuff. While watching the film, we feel we are watching Gautham Menon’s film “Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo”. In Gautham Menon’s film heroine lands in trouble whereas here parents land in the problem.

There is no much difference. Emotional content in this film is decent. Fun moments among Naga Chaitanya, Rao Ramesh and Revathi are good to watch on the big screen.

This sort subject should be handled with a lot of care but due to inexperience, director Krishna could not. Although the film Yuddham Sharanam is good technically, it offers nothing.

Technicalities:

Niketh Bommi’s camera work is delightful and beautifully showcases locations. Vivek’s music is simple and neat as it does not irritate flow of the movie. The director Krishna has done an okay job. Production values by Vaarahi are always good.

Final Say:

Yuddham Sharanam is an average flick. Watch if you have enough time. If not, just ignore.
